Food Illusion



I spent some time a few days ago running through some more food sensory articles, I found this one which is very interesting. It talks about how we perceive food and drink and relate colour to taste. For example at one point they tried a experiment where they had a lime and lemon drink, and a cheery drink they made both drinks red colour using Dye. The lemon and lime was more red then the cherry. People were asked to taste both and point out which was cherry. It was not every time but more often then not they would point to the lemon and lime one. This is because we relate the colour red to the taste of “sweetness” cherry.
